earthenware in general

Under kitchens.
Terraces and balconies.
It is recommended for grouting tiles where resistance to chemical attacks is necessary (see chemical resistance table): cheese factories, slaughterhouses, breweries and
food industries.
It is also used for grouting thermal and brackish water pools or basins. Product guaranteed for direct food contact according to the DM of 21.03.1973 (Hygienic discipline for packaging, containers, tools intended for direct contact with food and personal substances) and DM 220 of 26.04.1993, 338 of 22.07.1998 and 123 of 28.03.2003.

It is ideal for gluing and grouting mosaic in swimming pools and on decomposing mortars
for waterproofing: Elastocem and Coverflex.

PRELIMINARY TESTS AND JOINT REPAIR

Check that the adhesive mortar or mortar used for gluing the tiles has completely hardened and dried. The joints must be clean, free of any trace of dust and empty over at least 2/3 of the thickness of the tiles. Remove all traces of adhesive mortar or excess adhesive.

SPILL REPORT

COMPONENT A: 100 parts by weight
COMPONENT B: 7.2 parts by weight
Both components are delivered in pre-dosed packaging

STRIKE REPAIR

Pour the catalyst (component B), inside the packaging, into component A (paste). It is strongly advised to pour the entire content of the hardener, scraping the bottom of the container with a steel spatula. Preferably use an electric mixer until a homogeneous lump-free mixture is obtained. Hand mixing is not recommended. The two components are delivered in pre-dosed packaging to avoid any mixing error. The grouted surface can be cleaned within 45 minutes at 23°C.

GROUTING THE TILES

Spread the mixture with a green rubber trowel (Art. 104/G).
For large surfaces it is possible to use an electric mono-brush with anti-abrasion rubber spatula. Eliminate the excess product with the rubber spatula The application and hardening time of the product varies considerably according to the ambient temperature. The ideal temperature for correct application is between +18 and +23°C.
In this case, the mixture is very flexible and easy to apply, its working time is about 45 minutes. Opening to passage is possible after 24 hours. In case of temperature of +15°C it is necessary to wait three days for the opening to the passage. Flooring with subsequent chemical attack is possible after 5 days at a temperature of +23°C and after 10 days at a temperature of +15°C.
At a temperature between +8 and +12°C the product is quite consistent and difficult to spread.
The hardening time lengthens considerably. It is not recommended to add water or solvents to facilitate the application. At high temperatures it is advisable to spread the product quickly on the floor, so as not to shorten the application time due to the heat of reaction present in the packaging.

CLEANING AND FINISHING

The cleaning and finishing of the grouting must be carried out when the product is still fresh, and in any case as soon as possible, taking care not to empty the joints or leave stains on the surface of the tiles.
Cleaning and finishing can be done by hand or using an electric mono-brush with felt HAND: Rinse the surface of the joints beforehand with clean water.
Using a spatula with moistened white felt (article 109/G) emulsify gradually with clean water with circular movements in order to achieve perfect grouting of the tiles and eliminate the excess joint . Subsequently clean with a damp sweepex sponge (Article 128/G) to obtain a smooth and homogeneous surface, completely removing the product from the tiles and excess water without emptying the joints. Felt and sponge impregnated with resin and not clean must be replaced. (on the floor) and LITONET GEL (on the wall)
detergents Consult the technical data sheet before use. MONOBROSSE: After removing the excess mortar joint, rinse the surface thoroughly with clean water.
Then clean with the mono-brush with felt. Replace the felt when it is impregnated with product. USE OF LITONET TO REMOVE POSSIBLE WARES: Pour LITONET or spray LITONET GEL on the surface and distribute it with a scotch-brite. Leave the product to act for about 15-30 minutes. Then rub with the white scotch-brite (art 109/G) or the mono-brush with felt. Rinse with clean water and wipe immediately afterwards with a dry cloth. Do not wait for the rinsing water to evaporate to avoid the formation of halos.

JOB IN COLLAGE

Apply the mixture to the substrate with a suitable spatula and lay the tiles, exerting strong pressure.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

Use the product preferably at temperatures between +18°C and +23°C.
Avoid application at too low temperatures or with too high humidity to prevent the formation of superficial carbonation which could modify the uniformity of the color.
Remove excess product from tile surface immediately, as hardened product can only be removed mechanically.
All this can damage the good result of the work. The product cannot be used for grouting Cotto Toscano (Terracotta)
The product cannot be used for grouting trays with aggressive substances
tolerated only in case of intermittent contact (see chemical resistance table).
Do not use the product for grouting surfaces in contact with oleic acid:
meat factories and oil mills.
Do not mix the product with water or solvents.
Do not use the product for applications that are not mentioned in this data sheet.
Exposure to UV rays can cause small color variations over time.
Properly mix the two components (A+B).
Change the rinse water frequently.
Change the scotch-brite and the sponge when they are impregnated with product.
Do not wait more than 24 hours for cleaning with LITONET or LITONET GEL.
Do not walk on the grouted surface when the product is still fresh.
You risk staining the tiles. Do not cover the grouted surface with tarpaulins to avoid the formation of condensed water which could cause carbonation.
Wait at least 24-48 hours depending on the temperature before protecting. The product cannot be used for grouting Cotto Toscano (Terracotta) or other
very porous products such as concrete curbs.
Before grouting very porous natural stones, it is necessary to carry out a test on part of the slab to check the absorption of the epoxy resin, in some cases it could leave indelible marks on the surface, especially with stones. clear natural.
