Description
DIASEN's VAPOSHIELD is a semi-thick three-component Epoxy vapor barrier coating based on special cement. It adheres perfectly to many substrates such as concrete, tiles, mosaics, etc. VAPOSHIELD is THE ideal SOLUTION for renovating swimming pools without having to resort to major work. It is resistant to back pressure, applicable even at low temperatures (+5°C) and once dry, it can be easily overcoated with Epoxy or Polyurethane resins, tile adhesive or paint. Do not cover the VAPOSHIELD with acrylic products.
- PACKAGING: 10 kg plastic bucket. Each pot contains the 3 components (A+B+C) dosed and ready to be mixed.
- COLOUR: Sand – APPEARANCE: Semi-dense
- YIELD: 0.8 kg /m² for 1 mm. Provide 2 coats, i.e. 1.6 kg/m² for 2 mm. (Adapt the thickness according to the support and the desired use). For more information refer to the product technical data sheet.
- DESTINATION: All masonry on the ground, Swimming pools, Basins, tiled floors.
- MIXING: Mix the 3 components (A+B+C), add water (Max 5%). Apply in one or two coats.
- APPLICATION EQUIPMENT : Trowel, putty knife, roller, brush.
- DRYING : Approximately 24 hours after each coat (variable depending on temperature and ambient humidity).
- FINISH: We advise you to cover the VAPOSHIELD within a maximum of 48 hours.
- IMPORTANT: when immersed, the product must be covered with a finishing resin.
PREPARATION AND IMPLEMENTATION:
- Before applying VAPOSHIELD, be sure to clean the surface thoroughly, checking that there are no crumbly parts.
- Carefully mix the 3 components A+B+C until obtaining a homogeneous mixture without lumps. Add a maximum of 5% water, for this you can use a mechanical stirrer for at least 3 minutes.
NB: (The mixture obtained dries quickly, which is why from experience we recommend that you mix in small quantities in 2 or 3 times).
- For application with a trowel / trowel: do not add water.
- Apply two coats of VAPOSHIELD respecting the drying times.
- After complete drying (approximately 48 hours), cover with the finish of your choice, for tiling and mosaic starlike evo by Litokol is perfectly indicated.
The product cannot be stored after mixing.
Other use: VAPOSHIELD can also be used as a vapor barrier primer, in this case the yield will be 0.6 kg/m 2.
STORAGE : This product should be stored in a cool, ventilated place away from frost, rain and sunlight.
Health and safety: This product does not contain solvents. After mixing the components, it can be seen that the product heats up. This is a normal reaction. Do not close the bucket at the end of the mixture because the product gives rise to an exothermic reaction.
During handling, use personal protective equipment and comply with what is indicated on the product's safety data sheet.
