Water pump

The filtration pump is one of the most important elements of the swimming pool; its main function is to circulate water through the pipes to ensure the proper functioning of all the equipment and effective cleaning.

Choosing a filtration pump isn't a random decision; it depends on several factors, such as the pool's size, the distance between the equipment room and the pool, and the filter's size. To calculate the necessary filtration flow rate, divide the pool's water volume by 4. For example, an 80 m³ pool requires a filtration system with a minimum flow rate of 20 m³/h.

If the pool is far from the equipment room, there may be pressure/flow losses in the pipes, so a higher flow rate pump is necessary. There are two main types of pumps: standard single-flow pumps and variable-speed pumps.
