What does the kit include?

It consists of a stainless steel post frame with handrail support, a base plate for floor or surface mounting to a concrete slab (English style), a handrail in wood or stainless steel (available in lengths up to 3 meters), infill panels in stainless steel cable, tubing, or glass, and a complete set of mounting accessories such as hardware, screws, adhesive, and connecting accessories like union fittings for joining and connecting the different sections. Tools are not included in the kit.

What are the standards for a guardrail?

A  railing  ensures the safety of your staircase, tiled or wooden terrace, balcony, or mezzanine. Railings are designed and tested to meet  NF P01-012 and NF P01-013 standards . These French safety standards stipulate that a railing must be installed whenever there is a fall of more than one meter. It must also meet certain criteria, such as a minimum height of one meter, a safety zone within the first 45 centimeters made of a solid, impenetrable material (glass, sheet metal, polycarbonate, etc.), and a maximum spacing between each baluster (18 cm for rails, 14.5 cm for cables). For a  prefabricated stair railing kit, a solid base is not mandatory, but the distance between the last cable or rail and the nosing of the step must not exceed 5 cm.
